Patrick Duffy, joined FMK Law as a Partner in April 2025. In his first 10 years practicing law, Patrick represented plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury litigation. His practice evolved into representing respondents at the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission (IWCC). He has tried hundreds of cases before arbitrators, has argued dozens of cases before the Commission, and litigated multiple cases before the circuit court and appellate court. Using his civil litigation experience, he has represented employers as third party defendants in tort litigation and has successfully pursued recovery of Section 5(b) liens in multiple cases.
Patrick represents employers, insurance carriers, and third party administrators. He has represented employers of minimum wage employees, professional sports teams, and all types of other employers.
Outside of his law practice, Patrick has been the president of the Far West Suburban Chapter of the Autism Society of Illinois and a member of the School Board for Westmont, Illinois District 201.
