Julie Bruch was formerly a Partner at OKGC Law as well as Of Counsel to Inman & Fitzgibbons. She focuses her practice on employment law, school law, and civil rights law. In over 30 years of practice, Julie has appeared in over 300 employment, school law, and civil rights cases in federal courts and hundreds of cases in Illinois state courts. Julie has successfully represented clients in jury trials in the Northern, Central, and Southern District of Illinois as well as in state courts throughout Illinois. She has also argued appeals in both the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals and Illinois appellate districts. Her extensive legal experience encompasses defending local governmental entities and their employees and elected officials against Section 1983, Title VII, Title IX, ADA, ADEA, Constitutional, and state law claims. She also handles matters before the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Illinois Human Rights Commission, Illinois Department of Human Rights, and Illinois Department of Labor. Julie regularly provides training and seminars in all areas of employment law throughout the state of Illinois.
Julie is an active member of both the Chicago area legal community and her local community at home. She serves on the Employment Law Committee for the Illinois Association of Defense Counsel (IDC) and the Defense Research Institute. Julie writes the Employment Law Column for the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IDC) Quarterly Magazine. She also serves as President of Friends of Youth Services of Glenview/Northbrook. Julie has previously served as the President of the Glenview District 34 PTA Council, Vice-President of the Westbrook/Glen Grove PTA, and served as a board member of the Glenview Education Foundation. Julie has also served as an Arbitrator for the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program. In her spare time, Julie enjoys CrossFit, hot yoga, and cheering on her beloved Northwestern Wildcats.
